Discover Orbitals on Nintendo Switch 2, the premier intergalactic 2-player asymmetric co-op puzzle adventure developed by Shapefarm and published by Kepler Interactive. This stunning multiplayer exclusive places players into a beautifully crafted retro anime world.

Engaging Asymmetric Co-op Gameplay Mechanics

The core experience revolves entirely around cooperative synergy. You and your partner take control of Maki and Omura, two determined yet inexperienced space explorers. Together, you must navigate hazardous asteroid fields, solve intricate environmental puzzles, and save your crumbling space station from a destructive supernatural cosmic storm.

Unlike traditional cooperative platformers, the gameplay relies on unique tools that require active communication. Players utilize items like the Scrap Hook, Liquid Launcher, and Beam Cannon to clear paths and manipulate machinery. The split-screen format ensures both players remain constantly engaged, eliminating passive standby moments.

Nostalgic Retro Anime Art Style and Presentation

Visually, the game pays direct homage to classic 1980s and 1990s Japanese animation. The hand-crafted cinematic cutscenes, produced by Studio Massket, capture the distinct warmth of retro sci-fi classics. This stunning aesthetic pairs with a rich soundscape featuring full voice acting in multiple languages alongside a highly atmospheric original soundtrack.

Seamless Multiplayer and Accessibility Options

Getting your friends into the action is effortless thanks to flexible connectivity options. The title fully supports local split-screen play and online multiplayer. Utilizing the console’s advanced network features, owners can invite a partner via Nintendo Switch 2 GameShare or the free Orbitals Global Friend’s Pass. Your partner can join the entire space campaign without purchasing a separate copy of the game.
